Santa Monica is served by the Santa Monica Metro E Line, which provides an easy way to visit multiple attractions during your stay in Santa Monica, from the Pier to downtown Los Angeles. Santa Monica Proper is located about 5 ½ blocks from the Metro Expo Line stop located at 4th Street & Colorado Avenue.
By Bus/Metro
The Proper can be reached by taking the Green Line Shuttle (G shuttle) from the International terminal to the MetroRail/Lax Flyaway station at Aviation Blvd. Then take the R3 Big Blue Bus towards Downtown Santa Monica and exiting at 4th Nb & Santa Monica Ns. It’s about a 5 min walk from the stop. The whole trip should take about an hour. Expect to pay $11.
Santa Monica Proper is conveniently located within one block of Big Blue Bus Routes 2 and 18, and within walking distance of several other Big Blue Bus routes. Santa Monica Proper is also conveniently located within one block of routes 20 and 720 and walking distance of several other Metro bus routes. Every major car rental agency serves LAX. Follow signs as you exit the airport to CA-1 N/S Sepulveda Blvd. Continue right to S Sepulveda Blvd. Turn right on Howard Hughes Parkway and merge onto I-405N. Take exit 53B to merge onto I-10 West toward Santa Monica. Keep left to merge onto I-10 West toward Santa Monica. Take exit 1B toward Lincoln Blvd, CA-1 South. Turn right onto Lincoln Blvd. Turn left onto Arizona Ave. Turn right onto 7th Street. The destination will be on your right – 700 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90401 (entrance on 7th Street). Daily/overnight valet parking is provided for a fee.
