How You Can Travel Kindly

“It’s not about changing the world. It’s about changing the way we live in the world.” – Richard Branson

After a trip to Belize in 2012, witnessing heartbreaking poverty, families living in tiny shacks near polluted swamps and emaciated dogs wandering the streets for food, we started dreaming:

What if we could create a way for travelers to easily make a difference every time they traveled?

After four years in the making surrounded by faith, a dream team, and a community of family, friends, like-minded hotels, charities, and businesses that believe in the opportunity for a better world through kindness, we’re thrilled to present the answer to that question:

Last year, more than 1 billion trips were taken – that’s 1 billion opportunities for travelers to become a force for good.

According to Phocuswright’s ‘Good Travels’ research study conducted on behalf of Tourism Cares: “Nearly 75% of travelers polled think it’s important, somewhat important or extremely important that their travel dollars benefit the communities they visit.”

We welcome you to Kind Traveler, a Public Benefit Corporation that's the first socially conscious 'Give + Get' hotel booking platform. Travelers give a $10 nightly donation to a local charity that positively impacts the neighborhood they are traveling to, or to their favorite global charity. As reward for their donation, they unlock exclusive rates to book directly with today’s greatest hotels and unique properties. The other gift? You’ll become a warrior for good, too.
