Charlie’s Acres Farm Sanctuary

This sanctuary for rescued and abused farm animals in Sonoma County is changing minds and saving lives. 

The MISSION of Charlie’s Acres Farm Sanctuary is to rescue farm animals that were abused or destined for the dinner table. They strive to teach people about the beauty and intelligence of farm animals.

Why is it important?

More than 56 billion animals are killed each year for human consumption and unfortunately most have minimal legal protections. Charlie’s Acres Farm Sanctuary aims to educate people on the importance of farm animals and the issues and cruelties they face with commercial farming. 

How do they do it?

Charlie’s Acres is dedicated to the care of rescued farm animals. They serve as a sanctuary where animals can live out their natural lives in peace, and as a venue for showing the general public that these intelligent beings deserve our compassion. With a comprehensive slate of programs, Charlie's Acres also teaches visitors and students about the health benefits and positive environmental impacts that a plant-based diet has on the planet.

Charlie’s Acres relies on donations from the public in order to sustain this sanctuary into the future.
