With their “One World, One Health” approach to wildlife conservation medicine, CROW Clinic in Ft. Myers & Sanibel aims to improve the health of the environment, humans, and wildlife.

The MISSION of the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) is to educate people and save wildlife through state-of-the-art veterinary care, research education and conservation medicine.

Why is it important?

CROW has been serving the wildlife of Southwest Florida for almost 50 years. Each year, CROW cares for more than 5,000 wildlife patients including more than 200 species of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife in its veterinary hospital, which makes them one of the nation’s leading rehabilitation facilities for native and migratory wildlife.

How do they do it?

The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife hospital is a fully equipped 4,800-square-foot state-of-the-art facility designed to care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. The objective is to provide the medical and rehabilitative treatment necessary to assure that recovered patients can be released back to the wild. CROW's "One World, One Health" approach to wildlife conservation medicine looks to improve the health of the environment, humans and our animals through a better understanding of wildlife medicine. As one of the world’s leading wildlife rehabilitation centers, CROW has a responsibility to use the knowledge gained in its hospital to advance wildlife medicine and the “One World, One Health” concept with research education.

CROW is funded entirely through public donations, foundational grants, fundraising events and the Visitor Education Center. Volunteers are the cornerstone of CROW and each year more than 200 volunteers from all over the globe dedicate thousands of hours helping rescue, care for and rehabilitate wildlife.
