ABOUT

The Setting

There is idyllic settings, and then there is The Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa’s setting. Lofted on the Table Mountain National Park slopes, just a stone’s throw from the Atlantic Ocean is the award-winning Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa. From the beloved Red Carnation Hotel Collection offering all the serenity and privacy of a country hotel, just minutes from the vibrant heart of Cape Town. And we mean vibrant. Nearby, the historic Victoria & Albert Waterfront is South Africa’s most popular destination for museums and entertainment, and Cape Town’s most famous beaches, including pristine Camps Bay, are but a scenic drive away.

For wine enthusiasts, the “Mother City’s” own Constantia Valley is home to some of South Africa’s oldest and most famous estates. The adventurous can easily scratch their itch, go cage diving with Great Whites, seek out South Africa’s “Big 5” on safari just two hours away at Inverdoorn, or keep it cute hanging with the African penguins of Boulders Beach. The region’s culture and volatile political history are not to be missed, either. Tour District Six with the hotel’s guide providing a unique insight into Cape Town's townships that came to exist as a result of the discriminatory apartheid rules. Or, hop a helicopter to Robben Island and learn the inside story of Nelson Mandela’s 18 years of imprisonment there. In short, The Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa offers an escape to remember.

Sleep and Sanctuary

Choosing any of the 55 deluxe guest rooms should be relatively easy; they are all extravagantly designed, comfortably luxurious, and include the Twelve Apostles’ famed breakfast. Your dilemma, however, is choosing to opt for endless ocean vistas or dramatic mountain scenery. From your private terrace, both will seem too good to be true. Enjoy individually designed and spacious dwellings with abundant natural light on the suite side. For Kind Travelers going big, find a pair of Presidential Suites with chandeliers imported from Italy, a fabulous collection of South African Masters’ works of art, and tranquil balconies with wraparound views of the extraordinary mountain and ocean panoramas. We love to see local art adorning the walls, and the entire hotel proudly showcases some of the finest South African artists, revealing the country’s extraordinary talent, whether old or new.

Eat. Pray. Eat.

The Twelve Apostles surrounding beauty will surely please your senses, while your culinary adventure will dazzle your tastebuds. Executive Chef Christo Pretorius's home-grown uses only the finest sustainable and organic ingredients provided by the region’s bounty, accompanied by hand-crafted wines from the Twelve Apostles sister vineyard Bouchard Finlayson, selected by master sommelier Gregory Mutambe. Explore fine dining in Azure Restaurant, a laid-back chill vibe and an all-day menu of fresh and healthy café-style fare at the Café Grill, or lift your spirits by sipping on a sundowner, carefully crafted by the Leopard Bar’s expert mixologists.
