Keep Lee County Beautiful (KLCB) stands as a guardian of the paradise known as Southwest Florida, reminding us that the natural world thrives when we give back more than we take. KLCB is an organization that mobilizes locals and visitors alike to become stewards of the land. In a world that often moves too fast, their mission is a gentle call to slow down, look around, and leave every beach cleaner, every trail greener, and every community stronger than we found it. Since 2020 alone, KLCB has signed up over 30,000 volunteers, removed over 500,000 pounds of litter and planted nearly 40,000 plants and trees.

How do they do it?

Through grassroots cleanups, youth education, and sustainable beautification projects, Keep Lee County Beautiful doesn't just preserve the coastline, it cultivates a deeper connection between people and place. Keep Lee County Beautiful transforms environmental care into a vibrant, hands-on movement. Their mission unfolds through impactful programs like the Great American Cleanup, Adopt-A-Road, and Monofilament Madness, each one designed to heal, protect, and celebrate Southwest Florida’s natural beauty. From organizing thousands of volunteers to clear debris from beaches and waterways, to planting native trees that restore vital habitats, their reach is both wide and deeply rooted. Educational initiatives like the Youth Eco-Summit and environmental art contests empower the next generation to become passionate stewards of the land. In 2023 alone, they removed over 80,000 pounds of litter, proving that when communities unite with purpose, even the smallest actions can start a wave of positivity.
