Tulum Sostenible advances its mission largely through an innovative waste-management program that tackles Tulum’s trash crisis at the neighborhood level. Through their Puntos Limpios (Clean Points) https://www.puntoslimpiostulum.com/, they install multi-material recycling modules across local colonies so residents can drop off sorted aluminium, plastics, paper, cardboard, and Tetra Pak 24/7. Paired with education campaigns on how and why to separate waste at home, these hubs not only divert hundreds of tons of recyclables from landfills and fragile ecosystems, but also feed materials back into the circular economy where they’re transformed into items like urban furniture and building materials. By combining infrastructure, community training, and responsible material recovery, Tulum Sostenible turns waste from an environmental burden into a driver of sustainability and local empowerment.
