Jon Huertas

An actor of the stage and screen, writer, producer, director, musician and member of the Academy of Motion Pictures, Jon Huertas is best known for his multiple-award-winning performance as Javier Esposito on the ABC hit television series Castle as well as his portrayal of Sgt. Antonio Espera in HBO's Emmy Award–winning miniseries Generation Kill.  In 2012, Huertas won the NCLR ALMA Award for Favorite TV Actor Supporting Role in a Drama, as well as a Prism Award for Performance in a Drama Episode. In recent years, he has moved behind the camera to produce and direct several short films and documentaries.  His urban pop album, Grown and Sexy Music released in 2014 and Jon is now collaborating with Castle co-star, Seamus Dever on ShayJean, an infusion 90’s influenced R&B and eclectic hip hop that also reveals their comedic chemistry. 

Jon is passionate about wildlife conservation and currently serves as a celebrity ambassador for www.WildlandsNetwork.org - an organization that protects North America’s apex predators.  An animal lover and avid volunteer, he has done work with Habitat for Humanity, LA Homeless Services Authority, Race for the Rescues, United Way and many more.
