The Telluride Foundation is committed to enriching the quality of life of the residents, workforce, and visitors of the Telluride region.
Why is it important?
Since 2000, the Foundation has been working hard to ensure its entire region has access to the resources it needs to improve the quality of life of all residents. The Foundation strives to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow with a focus on strengthening its robust community of nonprofits, serving local citizens, and bolstering the region's economic ecosystem -- all to Make More Possible for everyone living and working in the Telluride region.
For Kind Traveler’s Every Stay Gives Back program, all efforts will fund Telluride Foundation’s Good Neighbor Fund. The fund is an 18-year program that supports the core of the Telluride regional community – all who live and work in Telluride. The Good Neighbor Fund is important because it acts as a critical safety net for local residents and the workforce, providing one-time emergency assistance to individuals and families experiencing a financial crisis due to medical, housing, and transportation challenges.
Telluride Foundation’s Good Neighbor Fund has distributed over $1,500,000 across three counties since its inception in 2002. It has helped over 700 individuals with financial assistance for rent, food, medicine, and other basic human necessities, including behavioral health services.
