Administrative & Impact Reporting Assistant — Independent Contractor

Location: Remote
Type: Independent Contractor to start, with opportunity to grow into a full-time role

About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping systems organized, supporting partnerships, tracking impact metrics, and helping mission-driven initiatives run smoothly behind the scenes.

The ideal candidate may have experience supporting nonprofits, foundations, sustainability programs, destination organizations, tourism initiatives, social impact companies, or philanthropic programs.

You’ll work closely with Kind Traveler’s growing network of hotel partners, nonprofit organizations, destination marketing organizations (DMOs), and community impact initiatives.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Track hotel, nonprofit, tourism, and partner information across multiple projects
  • Support impact reporting initiatives, including donation tracking and community impact metrics
  • Assist with monthly donation reconciliation and reporting processes
  • Help coordinate communications with hotels, nonprofit partners, destination organizations, and travelers
  • Maintain organized records, CRM updates, spreadsheets, meeting notes, and follow-up communications
  • Support sustainability and community impact initiatives tied to tourism partnerships
  • Assist with research, outreach, and administrative support for new destination and nonprofit partnerships
  • Help ensure accurate tracking of philanthropy and giving-related activities
  • Support day-to-day administrative operations and special projects

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience supporting nonprofit organizations, philanthropic initiatives, sustainability programs, tourism organizations, social enterprises, or mission-driven businesses is highly preferred
  • Interest in impact reporting, community engagement, sustainability, regenerative travel, or corporate social impact
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, data tracking, and reporting tools (Excel, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Airtable, CRM systems, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and follow-ups independently
  • Friendly, proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Passion for sustainable tourism, philanthropy, environmental and social impact, or community development

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with nonprofit administration or development
  • Familiarity with CSR, ESG, sustainability reporting, or social impact programs
  • Experience working with tourism boards, hotels, hospitality brands, or destination organizations
  • Experience supporting donor relations, fundraising, grants, or community partnerships
  • Experience with impact measurement or reporting dashboards
