Beauty comes naturally to this refined lodge in the heart of Washington wine country.

The Setting

The spirit of the Pacific Northwest of yesteryear is alive and well at Willows Lodge. Although, these days you’re more likely to hunt for the perfect bottle of wine than any sort of live game. Surrounded by lush timber (there’s actually a 1500-year-old cedar stump at the entrance), this refined lodge is itself an embodiment of the forest, boasting reclaimed materials and repurposed wood furnishings made from the region’s trees.  On the lodge’s grounds you’ll find manicured gardens and landscape crafted out of deep respect for sustainability, in fact, Willows Lodge is the first hotel in the region to be recognized with a 5-star EnviroStar Award. Just 25 miles from Seattle and smack dab in the flourishing Sammamish River Valley wine region, Pacific Northwest inspiration beckons.

Sleep and Sanctuary

Discover the comforts of home in each of Willow Lodge’s 84 spacious guest rooms and suites. Aptly named “Nice,” “Nicer” to “Nicest,” all guest rooms offer modern-lodge touches, stone-trimmed gas fireplaces, high-end bathrooms with deep soaking tubs and separate walk-in showers, Nespresso machines, salvaged and reclaimed custom designed furnishings, and either a patio or balcony overlooking the manicured courtyard. We especially love how suites are adorned with artwork by Northwest Coast Native American artists.

Eat. Pray. Eat.

Willows Lodge offers some outstanding dining options. Opt for a refined dining experience in the Barking Frog. Helmed by Chef Bobby Moore, you’ll find a culinary team here that gathers seasonal inspiration from the finest fresh local ingredients and transforms them into an authentic regional experience at the table. Always innovative and of the moment, the Barking Frog also features one of the most extensive wine menus in the Pacific Northwest.

For a more casual vibe, the Fireside Lounge is a fave of locals and guests alike. The menu leans on the comfort side, with great vegetarian options, while the hand crafted cocktails with local artisanal spirits are sure to compliment anything. On the grounds of Willows Lodge you’ll find The Herbfarm, a AAA 5-Diamond Award-winning restaurant full of country charm that offers a multi-course dining experience focusing on the bounty of the Pacific Northwest.

Barking Frog - Open for brunch and dinner, Barking Frog is also available to guests for take-out and in-room dining. Enjoy award-winning seasonal favorites like twice baked spaghetti squash with lacinato kale, red wine onions, Aleppo hot peppers and pine nuts. Yum! Also, find an extensive cocktail menu, local brews and wine selections for days.

Fireside Lounge - Kick back for a bite or drinks during happy hour with selections like poblano corn fritters or a fried eggplant muffuletta on ciabatta.

The Herbfarm - more a kindred spirit if you will, this award winning restaurant is situated on the lush grounds of Willows Lodge. The day’s menu is finalized only hours before the nine-course meal to take full advantage of fresh ingredients at their peak—including produce and herbs harvested daily from The Herbfarm’s own kitchen garden. Local growers and producers provide wild mushrooms, heritage fruits, handmade cheeses and other rare treasures.

The Art of De-stressing

The Spa at Willows Lodge combines the best of the convenient resort amenities and serene spa atmosphere. Indulge in a hot stone massage using warm local river stones or treat yourself to an invigorating  body treatment, then enjoy the resort's vibrant gardens, relaxation pool, or outdoor dry cedar sauna.

The Burke Gilman Trail, a 26-mile paved trail borders Willows Lodge and runs all the way into Seattle.  The multi-use trail is perfect for a scenic walk, run, or bike ride.  The lodge has complimentary bikes available to check-out and they’ll point you in the right direction. A 24 hour fitness center is alo on-property to help you stay toned.

When it’s wine time... you’ll find every appellation in Washington State represented in Woodinville—with more than 115 top wineries and tasting rooms. Allow the team at Willows to be your guide to this flourishing wine region. Added plus, many of the wineries are within walking distance of Willows Lodge.
