ABOUT

The Setting

From either Phuket or Krabi, you’ll embark on a speedboat through Phang Nga Bay past awe-inspiring limestone towers ala James Bond to the tropical shores of Koh Yao Noi and Six Senses. The island is known for its biodiversity, wildlife, authentic Thai village feel, and, of course, this family-friendly resort nestled into a hilltop sprinkled with villas made from natural materials. While other islands in the bay are known for a party atmosphere, the vibe here is as chill as it gets. That doesn’t mean you’ll be bored, there is an over-abundance of activities to behold on land and sea. Six Senses’ also offers unique opportunities to give back, like routine beach clean-ups, volunteering opportunities at the local school, helping in the organic farm and garden as well as wellness programs and classes designed to give back to, well, you. This could very well be the new fantasy island.

Sleep and Sanctuary

You’ll find yourself “stilted and thatched” in the 56 uniquely designed villas made from natural materials, perched like treehouses within Six Senses’ tropical jungle. Villas take up swaths of real estate and range from one-bedroom Hideaway Pool Villas to three and four-bedroom Ocean Retreats. You can choose between panoramic Phang Nga Bay or romantic forest views to enjoy from your private infinity pool and sunbeds. Six Senses signature creature comforts can be found in each, like Naturalmat organic mattresses, bespoke minibars with healthy snacks, specialized wine fridges, Bose speakers, yoga mats, Six Senses’ own glass-bottled drinking water, and indoor and outdoor rain showers. Should you need anything else, your own GEM (Guest Experience Maker) will answer the call.

Eat. Pray. Eat.

Your sense of taste, sight (and Kindness) will be rewarded with a meal at any of Six Senses Yao Noi’s dining outposts, all offering beautiful views from indoor/outdoor scenes and cuisine from considerately sourced ingredients. Most pay homage to seasonal Thai food culture, with a sprinkle of international influence while adhering to the Eat with Six Senses mindful approach to dining. It also wouldn’t be Six Senses if there weren’t some out-of-the-ordinary experiences, let the sommelier take you on a wine and cheese tasting journey, taste olive oils from around the globe, gather your own farm fresh eggs and have the breakfast chef prepare them “eggs-actly” how you please or enjoy the James Bond Dinner with a screening in the outdoor theater of “The Man with the Golden Gun,” seeing your literal surroundings on the big screen.
