Escape to a five-star Thai island paradise that aims to reward all of your senses, especially your sense of Kindness.

The Setting

From either Phuket or Krabi, you’ll embark on a speedboat through Phang Nga Bay past awe-inspiring limestone towers ala James Bond to the tropical shores of Koh Yao Noi and Six Senses. The island is known for its biodiversity, wildlife, authentic Thai village feel, and, of course, this family-friendly resort nestled into a hilltop sprinkled with villas made from natural materials. While other islands in the bay are known for a party atmosphere, the vibe here is as chill as it gets. That doesn’t mean you’ll be bored, there is an over-abundance of activities to behold on land and sea. Six Senses’ also offers unique opportunities to give back, like routine beach clean-ups, volunteering opportunities at the local school, helping in the organic farm and garden as well as wellness programs and classes designed to give back to, well, you. This could very well be the new fantasy island.

Sleep and Sanctuary

You’ll find yourself “stilted and thatched” in the 56 uniquely designed villas made from natural materials, perched like treehouses within Six Senses’ tropical jungle. Villas take up swaths of real estate and range from one-bedroom Hideaway Pool Villas to three and four-bedroom Ocean Retreats. You can choose between panoramic Phang Nga Bay or romantic forest views to enjoy from your private infinity pool and sunbeds. Six Senses signature creature comforts can be found in each, like Naturalmat organic mattresses, bespoke minibars with healthy snacks, specialized wine fridges, Bose speakers, yoga mats, Six Senses’ own glass-bottled drinking water, and indoor and outdoor rain showers. Should you need anything else, your own GEM (Guest Experience Maker) will answer the call.

Eat. Pray. Eat.

Your sense of taste, sight (and Kindness) will be rewarded with a meal at any of Six Senses Yao Noi’s dining outposts, all offering beautiful views from indoor/outdoor scenes and cuisine from considerately sourced ingredients. Most pay homage to seasonal Thai food culture, with a sprinkle of international influence while adhering to the Eat with Six Senses mindful approach to dining. It also wouldn’t be Six Senses if there weren’t some out-of-the-ordinary experiences, let the sommelier take you on a wine and cheese tasting journey, taste olive oils from around the globe, gather your own farm fresh eggs and have the breakfast chef prepare them “eggs-actly” how you please or enjoy the James Bond Dinner with a screening in the outdoor theater of “The Man with the Golden Gun,” seeing your literal surroundings on the big screen.

  • Living Room - Close to the beach, this all-day restaurant offers alfresco and undercover seating. Offering tempting buffets at breakfast and timeless classics for lunch and dinners from the wok or grill like overnight cooked black lentils, with the added bonus of a deli and a patisserie.

  • Dining Room & Chef’s Table - Over by the scarecrow garden, this main dining area is on the lower level with several private dining pavilions and the Chef's Table above. Find farm-to-table ingredients from the organic garden including, fresh eggs, mushrooms, herbs and fruits. Enjoy Thai cooking classes, wine evenings and degustation dinners. And choose culinary options that won't derail your wellness program.

  • The Den - Sit back on suspended daybeds and let the music take you away. Order a snack from the Asian and Western-inspired tapas menu. Also, find an extravagant menu of classic and hand-crafted cocktails with the freshest ingredients.

  • The Hilltop - This is literally our most exclusive top table. Dip your toes into the pool and let your daydreams carry you right over the edge into Phang Nga Bay. Join in the communal joy during our full moon dinners or make private arrangements for a sunrise breakfast or a sundown dinner or wine tasting shared by just the two of you. Also, find a special vegetarian course meal here highlighted by mushroom risotto with shrooms from the organic farm.

  • In-Villa Dining - For true romantics, your villa butler will arrange a Champagne breakfast, a private picnic or an evening barbecue beneath the stars, with a personal chef and dedicated waiter. (Vegetarians and other dietary restrictions can always be accommodated).

The Art of De-stressing
  • Six Senses Yao Noi Spa village, a Thai-inspired longhouse and individual treatment salas set in the tropical hillside will be your hub of rejuvenation. Let your senses rebalance as you're transported through memorable journeys and traditional healing practices like a full body Thai Herbal Massage, using warm poultices which contain plai ginger, turmeric and lemongrass. Afterward, head over to the Alchemy Bar for a hands-on approach to the art of creating sustainable essential oils and herbs.

  • It might get overwhelming choosing from the plethora of activities to do any given day, our advice is to breathe and let the island take you under its spell. Land lovers can reconnect with nature on a mangrove stroll, take a serene bike ride through jungle paths, learn the cherished art of Batik Painting from local artists, set out on an eco-mission enjoying the vast tropical diversity and nearby village, or stop by the Buddhist Spirit House for an arrival, fire or water ritual. By sea, island-hop through legendary landscapes, kayak in the Andaman Sea, or try your hand at stand-up paddling, waterskiing or windsurfing. For an authentic workout, take a Muay Thai boxing class.

  • For activities of the Kinder variety, stop by the organic chicken farm and relax with the chickens to a soundtrack of smooth jazz (happy chickens lay tasty eggs), participate in a regular beach-clean up, or get more than you give volunteering your time with local school children.
