ABOUT

The Setting

You may have come to know Oakland as the city across the bay from the city by the bay, but there is more to Oakland, and more to the Marriott for that matter, to discover. Home to a vibrant art and culinary scene, Oakland has been on the come up for quite some time now, and the AAA Diamond Award-winning Oakland Marriott City Center is your perfect landing spot to experience a unique city that embraces the original and creative.

The hotel is within walking distance of the pulsing Jack London Square’s entertainment and shopping. Not to mention Oakland’s 19 miles of waterfront, perfect for watching the sunset over San Francisco Bay, on-the-water activities, or meditating next to trickling green-gray waves. When you’re out exploring the town and need to find your way back, keep your eyes peeled for the tallest mural in Oakland painted on the side of the hotel, created to bring awareness to global childhood hunger.
