The No Plastic Pledge: Ditch the Plastic This Summer

Favorite

The impact that humans have on Earth is undeniable. By 2050, there is expected to be more plastic in the ocean than fish.

Every morning when I wake up and look out my window to see the formidable Mount Rainier, I am in awe of the beauty and strength of our Planet Earth. When there are no clouds, this volcano stands alone, starkly outlined by the blue sky. It is one of the most incredible and heart-filling views. But as I look out at this beautiful, lone mountain, I also see the skyscrapers of Seattle, cruises coming into the port, and the traffic accumulating on the roads below. The reality of how easy it is for humans to take over a once rugged landscape and pollute is evident.

We can be a part of the change.

The impact that humans have on Earth is undeniable. By 2050, there is expected to be more plastic in the ocean than fish. Currently, 150 million tons of plastic already float in the oceans and it is the 2nd most common piece of trash found on our beaches. Plastic pollution is one of the greatest environmental challenges we face today. But, there is hope, we can be a part of the change.

Boxed Water Is Better enables me to never have to buy water out of a plastic bottle again.

Together we can say enough is enough as we move into Plastic Free July. We are joining forces with Boxed Water is Better and taking the No Plastic Pledge. This means, 30 days with zero plastic bottles. One change can go a long way, as the average American uses 167 plastic bottles annually. Now, we can opt for resuable water bottles or Boxed Water and minimize our impact. I love my hydroflask & miir camp mug. I also know that in a pinch, instead of buying a plastic water bottle, Boxed Water Is Better enables me to never have to buy water out of a plastic bottle again.

Take a moment and imagine a world without plastic waste. It would be a world where we could all look out our windows and know we are doing at least one thing to show our love for Planet Earth. The choices we make every day make a difference for our future and for the wellbeing of the environment. I will be waking up each morning to look out at Mount Rainier and know that I am working to minimize my plastic pollution. Join us and take the No Plastic Pledge in July. Be the change you want to see in the world and join the pledge too.
