A chic and cozy chalet nestled in picturesque Aspen, meet Molly Gibson Lodge.

The Setting

What began as a mining camp during the Colorado Silver Boom in the late 1800’s, Aspen has since become the go-to-haunt for winter revelry and one of the world’s most picturesque cultural centers. Sure, with four world-class powder covered mountains, skiing is the name of the game here, but with all that natural splendor, summer months offer just as much to adventurous Kind travelers. Situated on Aspen’s Main Street and picturesque Paepcke Park with its famous gazebo and mere steps from world class shopping and dining, find the charming Molly Gibson Lodge. Paying homage to 70’s era chalet chic with sprinkles of Alpine details, your welcome to kick off those ski boots for the Lodge’s famed apres’ ski hour in a cozy lobby amongst wood paneled walls, a  stone-clad wood burning fireplace and plush couches. Indulge in one of Aspen’s coolest courtyard patios with a heated kidney shaped pool and three, count ‘em, three jacuzzis to relax those ski muscles. The Molly Gibson Lodge strives to make your comfort their first priority, so, with that in mind, take that hot chocolate by the fire, if you please.

Sleep and Sanctuary

With its neighborly and hospitable staff, naturally the digs are, well, just as accommodating. Amongst the lodge’s 53 rooms, you can choose from Deluxe rooms perfect for a romantic getaway or One to Two Bedroom Apartments with fully equipped kitchens ideal for feeding the whole family. Find throughout luxuries such as wood burning fireplaces, jacuzzi tubs, iPod docks, wood accents, mini-fridges, plush terry robes and free WiFi. A luxury we can surely get behind is the Gilchrist & Soames bath products standard in every room. A brand of products dedicated to environmental stewardship by helping reduce their footprint by using recycled packaging, employing green manufacturing processes and partnering with like-minded companies.

Eat. Pray. Eat.

While Molly Gibson Lodge lacks any traditional dining outposts, the daily Complimentary Breakfast sets the foundation for the most important meal of the day. Start your day of adventure with a freshly prepared feast with options such as scrambled eggs, made-to-order waffles and home-style potatoes. For those looking for lighter fare, try the hot oatmeal, fresh yogurts and seasonal berries. Of course, there are coffee and teas for that extra kick.

Now that you've launched your day with the right start, take comfort in knowing you can leave the word "hangry" at home with its Complimentary Apres’ Ski, found daily from 4:30-6:00 pm during ski season. Borrowed from the French habit of relaxing drinks and mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres directly off the mountain, Molly Gibson Lodge is proud to keep this Alpine tradition alive and kicking. Share stories of the slopes and unwind by the crackling fire with a glass of wine, a cold draft beer or hot cocoa, and nosh on gourmet cheeses, crackers, fresh fruits and other varieties like pizzas and hot chili. Score.

The Art of De-stressing

Since surrounding yourself in nature is known to mellow out the nerves and evoke feelings of calm and peace, there's no better place to get outside than Aspen. Enjoy four local mountains offering world-class skiing and miles and miles of pristine trails to be enjoyed by skiers and snowboarders of all levels. From Aspen Mountain right in the heart of the village, to family friendly Buttermilk, the Aspen Highlands back trails to the boarding favorite Snowmass resort, there’s a reason the name Aspen is synonymous with skiing.

Not to be outdone, the warmer months also shine in Aspen, literally, Aspen receives 300 days of sunshine a year. So with a year round “peak” season, get outdoors and experience the best in hiking, camping and biking. There’s always something for the active Kind traveler to do in the valley.

While there is no spa or fitness center found at Molly Gibson Lodge, a dip in the jacuzzi after a day of exploring Aspen is the respite you’ll crave the most.
