Discover Kind luxury in the heart of the nation’s capital.

The Setting

Located mere steps from the U.S. Capitol building’s famed steps sits Washington D.C.’s historic Capitol Hill neighborhood, known for its eclectic street fairs, picturesque parks, fabulous restaurants, and historic Union Station. Smack dab in the heart of this neighborhood, sitting pretty much the top of every visitors “must see” list, is the contemporary and boutique-ish Liaison Washington Capitol Hill.

Known to D.C. insiders, food-and-winers and sophisticated overnighters for its sleek decor, stylish rooms, proximity to the district’s main attractions and museums, award-winning sustainable southern kitchen style restaurant, and Washington D.C.’s largest rooftop pool and lounge. Walk tall through the lobby adorned with DC-inspired art and photographs to stretch out in your luxurious room overlooking the nation’s capital and congratulate yourself on being a D.C. player (at least for the duration of your stay).

Sleep and Sanctuary

If relaxation and rejuvenation is on your travel itinerary, then you won’t have to look far. Each room at Liaison Washington Capitol Hill offers fresh modern design, sumptuous Joie de Vivre luxury bed linens, lush bathrobes and 55” high-def TV’s for your kick back and chill mode. In bathrooms, delight your senses in eco-friendly Jonathan Adler bath amenities and glass showers and tubs. Also find modern workstations with ergonomic desk chairs, WiFi access included with your hotel facilities fee, an iHome docking station and in-room coffee makers. Feel free to bring your dogs for a $75 fee.

Eat. Pray. Eat.

When it comes to dining at the Liaison, Kind Travelers will be charmed southern style by the hospitality of Art & Soul. A southern kitchen serving simple, honest food that reflects a devotion to quality and responsibility made possible by partnerships with like-minded farmers, artisans and growers, who provide products that are sustainably sourced.

Feel as good about the restaurants practices as good as you feel about scarfing down a butternut squash curry marsala with chickpeas, brined burrata and cilantro or yummy greens like the Earth n’ Eats baby lettuce salad with candied pecans, pickled pears and a spiced cider vinaigrette. Find nice southern touches like hand-painted farm signs and traditional folk art in honor of Art & Soul’s regional influences. In the warmer months, bask in the sunshine (or moonlight) with an expansive al fresco patio with a fire-pit. Also find a bar menu with snacks, bar bites and seasonal cocktails for your pleasure. And, for the adventurous, be sure to splash some Angry Chef Hot Sauce (compliments of Executive Chef Douglas Alexander) on, well...pretty much everything. Sat & Sun Brunch: 9am-3pm, Lunch: Mon-Fri 11am-3:30pm, Dinner: Mon-Sat 5:30pm-10:30pm, 5:30pm-10pm Sun. ArtBar Lounge is open daily 11am-10:30pm.

The Art of De-stressing

Find Liaison’s 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center at your disposal during your stay and shake off a few layers of stress with a bit of cardio or free weights, then stretch it out at the center’s designated stretching area.

Another de-stressing option available to Kind Travelers during the warmer months is the fabulous (and only in D.C.) rooftop pool and lounge. Here you can unwind with drinks and dining for a perfect balance of relaxation and indulgence, or the sip and dip if you will.
