The Setting
It’s no secret anymore St. Lucia is one of the Carribean’s most dramatically beautiful islands, thanks in part to the Pitons, so it’s fitting we find Ladera Resort nestled on a volcanic ridgeline 1,000 feet above the deep blue Caribbean Sea. Situated on a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the much lauded resort’s natural open-wall design takes full advantage of those breathtaking verdant Piton views and combines both luxury and nature at its finest. Ladera also pays respect to its surroundings as a Green Global Certified resort that has eliminated plastic use, champions water and energy conservation, gives back to the nearby Soufriere community with its Ladera Green Team and uses sustainable furnishings crafted by local artisans in its own Ladera Carpentry Shop.
Sleep and Sanctuary
If you arrive at Ladera Resort with any sort of expectations, just prepare to have them exceeded, if not blown away. The 37 eco-friendly suites are uniquely designed and decorated featuring an open wall without a 4th wall, to provide breathtaking natural views of the Pitons and Caribbean Sea and are constructed of tropical hardwoods, stone and tile, with local artwork and furniture that is made on site by St. Lucian artisans. Each villa and suite features private heated plunge pools, complimentary Wi-Fi, in-room eco-friendly Jade Yoga mats, complementary and plastic-free Just Water cartons, complimentary farm-to-table breakfast, and most rooms boast butler service. - 30 km or 45 min from Hewanorra International Airport at Vieux Fort (UVF) which serves international flights on major carriers.
- 46 km or 1hr 20min from George F.L. Charles (SLU) which predominantly serves inter-island flights.
- Private transfers from both airports to and from Ladera are included in accommodations.
By Automobile
Ladera Resort can be reached from UVF via Micoud HWY and St. Judes HWY. Drive time is approximately 45 min. From SLU, via la Toc Rd. Drive time approx 1hr 20 min.
