Community Impact
Enjoy an 8-acre Sonoma retreat capturing the rustic feel of a winery filled with local art.
The Setting
The Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country has all the charms of a rustic Tuscan villa with all of the Kind sensibility of a LEED Certified recipient. That translates to a green sustainability team, an herb garden on-site, lush manicured surroundings for meditation and courtyard fire pits for sipping and relaxing. Just a short drive from countless vineyards, redwoods, and the beaches of Bodega Bay, this eight-acre retreat is not to be missed.
Sleep and Sanctuary
Each of Hyatt Regency Sonoma’s 253 guest rooms and suites evoke the golden splendor of wine country with laid-back elegance. Most rooms feature patios and spacious terraces with lush courtyard and firepit views. Sample an array of amenities we love like walls adorned with local art, in-room yoga mats, complimentary Wi-Fi, whopping 65” HDTV’s, mini-fridges stocked with healthy snacks and space for your day’s wine bounty, in-room aromatherapy and energy-efficient lighting. Pets are welcomed at the hotel with a fee and greeted with treats and their own beds.
Eat. Pray. Eat.
Your dining experience takes cues from the surrounding landscape that fosters most of the ingredients in the hotel’s dining outposts. In fact, the hotel is working with local elementary schools on planning a garden as a way of promoting healthy eating. Railroad Stop Bar + Kitchen is your all-dayer specializing in hyper-local ingredients, including seasonal produce, Sonoma cheeses, fresh-baked breads, fresh Pacific seafood for our pescatarian friends and barrel-aged cocktails. Add to that the relaxing Sonoma Cafe near the firepit courtyard and the Pool Cafe to keep you hydrated and satisfied while your kicking it poolside or in the jacuzzi.
- Railroad Stop Bar + Kitchen - Named for Santa Rosa’s rich history as a railroad town, this depot serves breakfast, lunch & dinner with a fantastic happy hour. Sip local wines and relive your youth with an updated classic, Bellwether Farms veggie “adult” mac & cheese with elbow pasta, roasted tomatoes, broccolini and carmelized onions in a San Andreas, Pepato and Carmody cheese sauce with a panko crust. Sold.
- Sonoma Cafe - Relax near the fireplace and savor coffee and light breakfast in the morning and wine country lunch fare. Pair that with local small-batch wine and craft brews unavailable outside Sonoma.
- Pool Cafe - enjoy snacks, small plates and beverages from Sonoma Cafe all day while you work on that tan. Frose’ anyone?
- 24-hour room service is also offered to guests should you prefer a late night bite on your terrace.
The Art of De-stressing
Keep the blood flowing at the 24-hour StayFit gym. Here you’ll find all sorts of goodies to lift and keep toned like Precor cardio equipment and treadmills, kettlebells, free weights, stability balls and more. You’re welcome to participate in a free Saturday morning Yoga class on the lush grounds hosted by YogaONE (May-Oct). Or, warm up before your workout with a jaunt around the mile long Prince Memorial Greenway that lies behind the hotel grounds and intersects with other trails. Bikes on loan are also available to tour downtown Santa Rosa and nearby trails.
Not all de-stressing requires physical activity, submitted for your approval here is the outdoor courtyard with 10-foot crystal fire pit. Sip wine, socialize with fellow Kind Travelers and roast a s’more or two. See where we’re going with this?
