A rich history of movie stars and a modern focus on sustainability make this a Sonoma classic not to miss.

The Setting

Nestled in the foothills of Santa Rosa, just a stone’s throw from gourmet dining and the wineries of Sonoma and Napa Valley is the mid-century darling, Flamingo Conference Resort & Spa. Once renowned as a playground to the stars of yesteryear, this historical landmark has undergone a 21st Century transformation of the Kindest degree. A member of the California Green Lodging Program, the Flamingo has embraced ecologically sound practices throughout the resort like becoming less dependent on non-renewable resources, buying local and a commitment to reducing their carbon footprint. Whoo hoo!

Sleep and Sanctuary

The retro-cool 50’s feel of the Flamingo’s 170 rooms and suites will also have you dancing in modern comforts. The spacious rooms and suites feature such amenities as in-room refrigerators, free Wi-Fi, plush robes, large HDTVs, and in some cases, large sleeper sofas and garden patios. We especially love the eco-friendly organic bath products, the green sustainability team on-hand and that it is peachy for your furry friends to tag along.

Eat. Pray. Eat.

The Terrace Grill Restaurant is your one-stop-shop for all things culinary at the Flamingo. Situated poolside, guests can relax in a cosmopolitan dining room reminiscent of Rat Pack heydays or al fresco with beautiful views of the pool and manicured gardens. Highlights include a separate all vegan/vegetarian menu by Dr. McDougall and a sumptuous Sunday brunch. Mimosas are vegan too, right?

Terrace Grill - Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch delight your veggie loving tastebuds with items from the vegetarian menu like the McDougall lasagna, layered pasta with tofu ricotta, and baked with soy parmesan cheese. Be sure to take advantage of the complimentary wine hour, too.

In-room dining is also offered during certain hours of the day.

The Art of De-stressing

The crown jewel of the hotel has to be the Montecito Heights Health Club & Spa. We’re talking a sprawling space boasting a 25-meter swimming pool, five tennis courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center offering a wide array of strength programs, fitness and yoga classes and nutrition programs to name a few. Burn off some more steam with Vinyasa, hot or Qigong yoga, indoor spin classes, or hot pilates. The icing on the de-stressing cake is the massive 3,000 square foot health spa, where you can rejuvenate with a sports massage treatment (with all that, you’ll need it).
