ABOUT
The Setting
A truly one-of-a-kind-Kind hotel experience, Casas del XVI is a unique collection of houses, some dating from the 16th century, in the Colonial City district of Santo Domingo. Set in the center of the walkable UNESCO World Heritage Site, this Conde Nast winner for “Best Designed Hotels” is long on Colonial charms amid modern boutique refinement. Adorned with local art and surrounded by fruit trees, this is a New World utopia at its finest.
Sleep and Sanctuary
Guests of Casas Del XVI will be head-to-toe immersed in Spanish Colonial charms in the twenty guest rooms and suites within the uniquely designed casas, where old world romance meets modern luxury and comfort. Set across the hotel’s six buildings you’ll be pampered with colonial luxuries like private butler service, and newer must-haves like complimentary Wi-Fi, large HDTVs, coma-inducing beds and iPhone/iPads to loan.

HOW TO GET THERE
By Plane
- 18 mi/28 km from Las Americas international Airport (SDQ) (Taxi approx: $35-$45)
- Private airport transfers are available for $64 each way for up to four people. Please contact concierge 48 hours prior to arrival. A VIP airport experience can be arranged with an effortless experience beginning to end such as a private immigration process, relaxing lounge experience, free Wi-Fi and baggage handling.
By Automobile
- The ciudad colonial can be reached by auto via Autopista Las Americas to Santo Domingo. However, within the Colonial City driving isn’t recommended as most destinations can be reached on foot and unmarked streets and colloquial directions may be confusing to most people not named Magellan. For travels beyond the city, most rental agencies are at the airport. Parking and valet are both complementary.
