ABOUT

The Setting

History buffs and wine enthusiasts, prepare to strike gold. That being the charming Brannan Cottage Inn nestled in the northern neck of Napa Valley in the historic town of Calistoga. So historic in fact, the National Trust for Historic Preservation named Calistoga a “Distinctive Destination.” Recognized as one of an elite group of American communities dedicated to preserving its town’s character and sense of place. Originally built in 1860 by Calistoga founder Samuel Brannan (hence, the name), this historic inn is still located at its original location and listed with the National Register of Historic Places. But, everything about this intimate, six room boutique caters to modern nomads and Kind Travelers, including a LEED Silver Certification and a spot on TripAdvisors’s Hall of Fame. Steps away, Calistoga’s cozy downtown is teeming with fine art galleries featuring painting, sculpture, photography, modern art, decorative arts and pottery not to mention spectacular dining and imbibing. And should your itinerary aim for more indulgent “to do’s,” you’ll enjoy a town known for relaxing hot springs, mud baths and sooooo much good wine.
