At Adrift Boardwalk Cottages, you’ll find twelve self-contained cottages, each with its own unique character and amenities, just a half-mile from the Boardwalk and Discovery Trail. The pet-friendly cottages range from Deluxe Studio, Studio Cottages, Suite with Kitchenette, One Bedroom with Kitchen and a sprawling Three Bedroom Townhouse. These tasteful “homes away from home” are the perfect place to rest your weary head after a day exploring miles of beach peninsula and numerous hiking and biking trails.  In most, you’ll enjoy kitchens or kitchenettes, jetted-tubs, fireplaces, covered patio decks, local bar soaps from Harmony Soapworks and every morning, fresh pastries from Cottage Bakery will be delivered to your door.

There isn’t a dining outpost on-site at the cottages, but that doesn’t mean you’ll go hungry. You’re really getting the best of the peninsula at nearby Adrift properties. Bike on over to the historic Shelburne Pub at the Shelburne for a bite. Inside this cozy, art-nouveau space you can expect locally-sourced American fare and the freshest ingredients in both cuisine and cocktails. In the restaurant [pickled fish] at Adrift Hotel, Executive Chef China Martinez stays close to her Pacific Northwest roots by selecting locally sourced ingredients with care and observation of the seasons.

Paired with plates like roasted cauliflower orzotto with pearled barley and herbed salad is nightly live music reflecting the vibe of the Northwest. Be sure to drink up, too, every month a local non-profit charity or campaign is chosen to receive 50 percent of the profits from a specially designed cocktail. 

The Art of De-stressing

Head towards the beach and over to the sister property Adrift Hotel to enjoy their spa facilities as a guest of the cottages. Relax and unwind in their heated saline pool, barrel sauna, and a full-service spa. We’d suggest a hot stone massage to get the muscles relaxed and ready to ride for the day. Your treatment will always feature Sacred Earth Vegan/ All Natural Massage Oil. Guests will also receive a pass to Snap Fitness to get in a full-body workout.

De-stress by exploring the beautiful Long Beach Peninsula and its unique character. The 8-mile-long Discovery Trail is a paved beach trail that parallels the dunes. It is ideal for walking, running, and, naturally, biking. Rain or shine, grab one of Adrift Boardwalk Cottages’ complimentary beach cruiser bikes and explore the trail.
