Be Kind to yourself on your next NYC stay by letting The Benjamin be Kind to you.
The Setting
The Benjamin Hotel is centrally located amidst the bustling Midtown Manhattan. Recently renovated, the original architecture from 1927 combines historic design with contemporary charm. It’s like the James Bond of hotels. Wellness takes center stage, where the motto is for guests to “be at your best.” That motto of being at one’s best could equally be said of this Manhattan hotel, where impeccable service is woven through its five tenants of restful sleep, nourishment, exercise, personal care, and inspiration. Dare we say a match made for heaven?
Sleep and Sanctuary
The Benjamin boasts more than 200 rooms (yes, a boutique hotel with 200 rooms) designed with sleep in mind with blackout curtains, white noise machines, and an expertly curated pillow menu by the hotel’s sleep expert Dr. Rebecca Robbins. The sanctuaries (mostly suites) are discreet and serene, with amenities that include HDTVs (with on-command movies to boot) and Wi-Fi access (for a nominal fee, though complimentary in the lobby and restaurant). The room renovations will make Nature lovers rejoice, with green features that include individually controlled thermostats, low-flow faucets, energy-efficient lighting and A/C energy savers. It’s like you’re saving the planet by traveling!
Eat. Pray. Eat.
Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian leads the culinary team at the Benjamin, and his talent shines through every dish at the restaurant. Let the National figuratively whisk you off to Paris with its European-style bistro décor, open for every meal of the day. The best part? The National Sessions–where every Sunday night, live music hits the stage for some jazzy wining and dining from 6-10pm.
- The National – Find contemporary American dishes with a tasteful European twist, such as the avocado and grapefruit salad, or crispy Brussels sprouts with cider and mustard glaze. Is your stomach growling like ours is? Kick off your foodie Tour de Europe with signature cocktails at the bar, such as the Red Eye: featuring Campari, port, and black walnut bitters.
The full National menu is also offered via room service. Curated special menus by Zakarian for are also available for private dining and events.
The Art of De-stressing
The quaint, European-style salon, Frederico Hair and Spa, sells itself with a plush menu of features for getting your zen on, including hair styling, manicures, waxing, makeup application, and massages in the spa or in room. We feel spoiled just thinking about it.
The Benjamin’s fitness program features a 24-hour gym, monthly classes via their Fitness Concierge partner SIN Workouts, a network of private instructors, and access to the top classes in the city. The Benjamin also boasts an unmatched “Rest and Renew Program,” created by Dr. Rebecca Robbins, with features like a 10-item pillow menu (yes, you read correctly), ensuring that guests receive the best night’s sleep possible.

Guestrooms
Stylish, yet homey, The Benjamin’s guestrooms feature amenities like white marble bathrooms, kitchenettes, and HDTVs. Standard rooms feature a single queen bed, while Deluxe Studios are recommended for families or getaways with friends, offering a king bed or double queen beds. Welcome to your Manhattan home away from home.
Suites
Featuring a separate living room with queen sleeper sofa, these spacious rooms comfortably accommodate up to four people. Enjoy the added luxuries like a marble-topped kitchenette, while Balcony Suites (on the highest floors) offer views of the Manhattan skyline and East River. Terrace Suites have even larger outdoor spaces. Good luck trying to leave your suite.
Special Rooms
Don your robe and live like a king (or queen, obviously) in the royal Benjamin Suite, a 22nd-floor masterpiece. Bask in the signature outdoor area where you can enjoy al fresco dining next to your own culinary garden, or relax indoors where hardwood flooring, velvet and satin seating, and a multi-channel sound system awaits. Other notable features include a pantry kitchen, separate powder room, living room with HDTV, bathroom (with free-standing tub and double rain shower), and master bedroom. “Fit for a king” couldn’t be anymore fitting.
