ABOUT

The Setting

Halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco is a jewel of California’s Central Coast known as Paso Robles Wine Country. A land known for rich agricultural heritage, rustic rural beauty, a historic downtown teeming with innovative restaurants and antique shops, over 200 renowned wineries, and notably, the Allegretto Vineyard Resort. The Tuscan-style refuge, set on 20 lush acres surrounded by rolling vineyards, is adorned with art and artifacts covering centuries of the human experience (a guided art tour is offered).

Also impressive is Allegretto’s resume of green initiatives, emphasizing water conservation, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and a list of positive agricultural and community impacts too extensive to name here. Allegretto is not only a luxury resort with its own wine label, but a celebration of life lived joyfully, harmoniously and best slipped slowly.

Sleep and Sanctuary

Escape to the feeling of Tuscan-style serenity in the Allegretto’s 171 rooms and suites. The European-inspired lodgings take full advantage of the ground's natural beauty, with many of the rooms having terrazas overlooking rolling vineyards, the sparkling pool and Piazza Magica – with its Moroccan cupola and bell tower. In all rooms you’ll succumb to comfort with luxe bedding, chic furnishings, plush robes and slippers (encourage garb for a stroll to the spa or pool), and all modern conveniences. Find 14 two-room suites with the option of fireplaces, patios, and balconies to further indulge that pampered palace aspect. Almost all accommodation styles are ADA accessible, and all are pet-friendly.

Eat. Pray. Eat.

Cello Restaurant & Bar welcomes you to a time when the local inn was the beacon for the finest cuisine and revelry in Paso Robles. Upscale and casual flare seamlessly blend at this Mediterranean-inspired trattoria. Discover creative Northern Italian dishes made from regionally foraged ingredients, an extensive wine list, chef’s garden-inspired craft cocktails, artisanal beers, and Allegretto’s signature culture of joy are shared by locals and guests alike. Case in point, large doors open onto a patio with iron fire bowls and bocce ball courts in a setting that takes full advantage of Paso’s beautiful warm evenings in summer and is heated for cozy al fresco dining in winter. Whether in designer jeans or elegant dress, guests are encouraged to escape from it all and come just as they are to experience friends and flavors in perfect harmony.
